question about removing locking lugnut

Re: question about removing locking lugnut
find a hex socket slightly larger than the lugnut, slam that bitch on there with a hammer and slowly torque it off with an impact (read- sometimes if you go too hardcore with the impact it will strip the lugnut and then you'll have to try even harder to get an even smaller socket on there).
you're going to need a quality deep impact socket though, don't try it with some cheap dollar tree piece.

go to a mechanic shop and see if they have one of these, my uncle has the set, you just hit it on with a hammer, and use a socket to remove it

Re: question about removing locking lugnut
Happened to my lexus. Car was stranded as I couldnt get the damn stripped lock nut off. Pep boys tows ure car for free if you get the work done from them. Say you have a flat tire, and you cant fix it because the locknut wont come off. They said they wouldnt cover it because they dont cover flat service. But i was like i dont need my flat fixed i need the locknut replaced. They towed it to their shop, and drilled it off for like 30 bucks. And the towing was free. That shit was awesome. Take the air out of your tire, and call pep boys.

Re: question about removing locking lugnut
i just used a 12point socket that barley fit over, & pounded it on with a hammer, i think that would work better than a hex or 6point
