putting gsr cams in a b16
will it make more power that I will notice?
I know they are just a little bit bigger. right?

motor is a 1st gen euro b16a (obd0)
cams would be gsr (obd1) b18c1

 

You may notice a little, but I doubt you'll even feel the difference.

 

yeah, you can definitely feel a difference. the obd0 b16 cams just plain out suck ass. i put a set of obd1 gsr cams in an obd1 b16 with obd0 b16 cams and the car pulled considerably harder from 6k-8400. the obd0 b16 cams just die off past 6k.

CTR cams are the only stock cams that peak at 8400 rpm's.
Eric you will not notice a big difference, the gsr cams have alittle more duration than the b16's.

 

now how are you gonna sit there and try to tell me this shit, when i fucking put a set in a kids car and drove it before and after. these people that are bench racers are hilarious. you WILL feel a difference. is it going to be like putting ITR's in? no. but you WILL feel more power up top.

EDIT - and since you can usually get a set for cheap as fuck, like 25-40 bucks, it's usually worth it for a few extra horses all over.

 

ditto, i had auto B16 cams in my old lsvtec, lobes so short it looked like a stick with bumps

changed to b17 cams, louder and stronger vtec
changed to 96gsr cams, pulled better overall

 

RPM damnit.....
