Wheel question...
So thinking about some wheels for the Volvo, the bolt pattern is 5x108mm or 5x4.25" which doesn't allow many options, but I've found a couple of wheels i'm interested in, but the offsets are all different and when it comes to this part I don't know much
stock wheels= 17x7 49mm offset
one set of wheels i'm looking at= 17x7.5 60mm offset
as i understand offset, that would pull the wheel 11mm further inside the fenderwell, which I think would look pretty crappy, plus the extra half inch of width I imagine i'd have some rubbing issues, but just want to make sure I don't have the concept of wheel offset completely backwards and let a set of wheels go that would actually work

Re: Wheel question...
thanks, a picture helps, thats about what i gathered from reading but wasn't 100% sure
was thinking about a set of stock lincoln LS wheels but sounds like adding 11 more millimeters of offset is going to look like ass and rub the fender... search continues

The after market wheels are wider, however, they will be set in further than your stock wheels. This is because you will add 6mm on each side to obtain the extra 1/2" width, however, the offset is 11mm higher, so 11-6=5. So, if all else is the same (tire etc) they won't even come close to rubbing the fender.
The +60mm offset wheels will fit 5mm further in than your stocks.
The only thing you need to be careful of when going to a higher offset wheel that is about the same width (generally) is being careful the tire/wheel won't hit any suspension componets. However, 6mm shouldn't be a problem at all.

Re: Wheel question...
You need to get some spacers in it, It'll rub on the spring seats. 5-10mm spacers will work. VPTuning.com sells spacers.
PS: Turbobricks is where its at. Volvospeed.com forums focus on FWD more, but Turbobricks rocks (I guess I'm slightly biased toward TB as I'm staff, but nevermind that.)
