Default got an idea for a hybrid turbo charged motor

i have a d16z6 block, ill put a 88-89 teg head on it and zc cams in the head. the vtec pistons as you know are dished and that will lower the compression of the motor to 8.2 :1, so get some good rings and this motor would be nice as shit for some decent boost. does anyone see where i could go wrong with this idea?? ive been wanting to do it for awhile to be alittle different but now its because i have a low budget to be fast. also ive heard the 1.6 vtec rods can hold up to 225 hp...anyone heard different?

thanks i havnt had the chance to try it yet but seing them seperate they looked like they would bolt up but i wasnt sure. the other option was to put the non vtec head on and that will make the compression 8.2 but wont run as eficent as the dohc but i think it will still do good. any opinions?

why won't the head bolt up they are both d series motors, you would just use the timing belt off the zc motor(86-89)

there are a few oil return holes that of off quite a bit!
try it if you dont believe me

lets see a dseries with 8.2-1 compression will be an absolute dog off boost!i would stay around 9.1 or higher. why not just get a d16y7 motor with low miles and boost on it????

i have a few of these!

they have 9.4-1 compression

I don't know Honda motors, but I do know ChaHonda's right. 8.5:1 is THE lowest I'd recommend. I personally think anywhere between 8.5-9.5 is best, my ideal being 9.0:1
