Anybody know of an exhaust shop that will bend up some pipes for me? All of them seem to say.. "oh.. we dont do work in the engine bay".. "I am still paying you for your time.. what is the difference?" "If my boss sees me in your engine bay.. I can get in alot of trouble". This seems to be the general answer I am getting. I am going this way because I have made some alterations to my intake and I cant just buy a kit for the car. Besides the kit is $1700 anyways. I am using an 04 Evo Lancer intercooler and probably need about 8 feet worth of pipe ran. Also.. anybody know of a shop that can Mandrel bend a 3" exhaust? I got it done in Florida but nobody here seems to be able to do the job.
Millennium Autosports will do Mandrel piping no problem! Give us a call. On most cars its $450 for IC piping with clamps and couplers.
that is still a lil too pricey for me right now.. I am needing it done for atleast half that.. that is the reason I am looking for exhaust piping for right now. With Christmas here.. my wife is making sure I have noooo play money.

So starch some aluminum foil and use rubber bands. Otherwise, for a real job, you're going to pay about what was offered. What kind of car is this for?

No way bro. In Florida.. I had my 93 Capri XR2 Turbo intercooler piping and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust run for $275 for both. And they took my cat out for me. There is no way it should cost more than that to have 2 or 3 pipes bent up out of exhaust piping. I will find somebody that will do it. I am not looking for aluminum piping right now.. I just need the pipes period. I have no intercooler at all on the Stock Z and I get heat soak really really bad. not to mention.. I just paide $150 for the underdrive pulley. I am paying $375 for a 60-1 to be built from my spare stock T3. And I just got a different intake plenium that I am going to have to alter to make it run the way I want it too. In about March I would guess.. after I have gotten everything in and all the bugs worked out.. I am gettin a 100 shot and redoing the fuel and with that..should be pushing a lil under 400hp at the wheels with this set up.. at 16-18 psi.. running 12-12.2 in the quarter.. seems to be about what the average Z is running with these upgrades.
Sounds like you got a plan, and it also sounds like you're in no hurry. Why don't you call up the shop in FLorida that did your original work and have them bend some more pipe for you? What part of Florida, btw? I'm originally from the greater Tampa area....now called "New Tampa".
