DSM, 1g and 2g mixxed parts. (trans/motor)
Okie here is my issue, I got one 99 GSX (5spd) with a bad motor. and a 97 GS-T (auto) with a bad tranny. I wanted the GSX to run so i sent both to my friends job and he was going to pull motor from GS-T and toss it into GSX. I didnt do anything to the GS-T just like it is, i didnt do any mods to the car anything, so i know nothing about the GS-T.
My problem, He calledme up and said my flywheel (from GSX) will not bolt up the holes dont match the ones on the motor (from GS-T).. my 1st guess is okie then it's a 6bolt in the GS-T....right? if so do i need a 6bolt tranny? or just a 6 bolt fly wheel?
Thanks for the help!

Well only reason it wouldnt bolt up would be because it is a 6bolt, but the 6bolts did not come stock in any 2gs. Someone would have had to do the swap at one point in time. Count the number of bolts on each on the flywheel plate for each motor
it's a 6-bolt motor, also be aware that awd and fwd flywheels are different. Sorry I couldnt get back over there Davy. Things have been more than busy for me.
Thanks for the replys, i gotta go by the shop and see what my friend is talkin about something about the flywheel holes are not matchin up with the holes on the motor.. dunno anyways i'll post back up when i see what he's tlakin about...thanks again!
i know with the flywheel on my motor can only go one one way. made me think about it for a second when i was putting mine bac on after getting it resurfaced but i knew it fit because it came off of that motor, i jsut kept turning it till the holes lined up.
