i have a b16a2 that did not come with a pressure switch so i put it in thinking the vtec would work then because it works off of oil pressure. but it still didnt work. so i did an oil pressure test and it only had like 5 psi of pressure at the sylenoid. i was wondering if any of you had the same problems with your vtec. please give me your ideas on what else i can do to get it to work. thanks

 

Is the vtec not kicking in correctly? What codes are you throwing...hmm VTEC problems can be a couple things..more info pls.

 

ok v tec is not kicking in at all and im throwing code 22 which is vtec pressure switch but the wire is in the rite place in the ecu

 

hmmmm..maybe the switch is bad..also chk. your wiring for resitance.

 

im pretty sure the switch is not bad beceaue i had to buy a new one because it didnt come with one. and theplace where the switch was sopposed to go there wasnt a hole so we had to drill a hole for it thanks alot dude il see if igot the pressure switch in the rite spot then ill post again tomo0rrow

 

my v tec works now thatnks for you help. the problem was taht it was in the spot next to teh vtec
