honestly...I had a Si intake manifold on my 88 crx si with a D16y8 swap....it picked up alot better and got better top end.....y8 intake manifolds arent all that great to be honest.....but if your obd1.....then idk what to tell you asides the fact of saving up and getting a skunk2 intake manifold.......i rean my Y8 off OBd0.....so i was different......lol

 

im trying to put that y8 onto my y7...i didnt know SI mani fits y8

 

You also had a z6 head on a y8 block so I dont thin thats quite the same as a real y8 head . The y8 is best d series manifold for its size. Get it port matched and to the head and a bseries throttle body portmatched to it.
