Default HDTV Broadcast in blacksburg

Just want to know if anyone in the Blacksburg area is able to receive HD signal through antenna? Want to see if an HDTV would be worth it.

You need an HD Antenna. For HD Cable you still need the box even with the tuner since most companies scramble the signal.

SO, I have to get an HD antenna? Didn't know they made one. My tv has the hdtv tuner, so I figured it would just pick up the signals and display them, but I don't seem to get any. I get adelphia regular cable (2-72), and thinking about upgrading sometime soon to HD, but if there's some free channels that'd be nice to hold me over for a bit.

Yeah you need an antenna to recieve the signals. I would personally upgrade to the HD package. It's worth it.

So, I bought an antenna from Scotty's Audio today for $24, I get like 2 stations and they're not great. To upgrade to the HD package it'd be like $22 extra/month I think..that adds up quick. I'm thinking around November when my $90/month tv payment is done with then I'll get it, and there should be more HD stations by then.
