I had my mountain bike stolen today just an hour ago. I wasn't locked, I sat it RIGHT IN FRONT of the YMCA main-double-door entrance.

It's a 24" bike........
"SCHWINN" model, male bike......
10spd. ......
hand brakes w/textured grips......
Black shocks up front.......
brand new tire in rear........
On the bolt where rear rim mounts, there's a lil' braising where I retightened the nut....
Silver in color......
Orange trim outlines "SCHWINN" lettering........
No lights mounted, just reflectors front & rear.........
non-gel seat, red pinstripe I believe, no springs........

It was stolen in front of Great Bridge Hickory YMCA (633 South Battlefield Boulevard) between 12:30-1:15pm, if you have any info. it'd be greatly appreciated. It's still "new" barely used condition. Fu**in' asswipes... Police told me not to take bike back if seen, I have to call. Fuck that, I see that bitch, and I recognize my shit, it's coming back with force if neccessary b'c it's my mode of transportation & x-mas present.

chris holy shit man, you just got that damned thing. if i see anyone riding it around i'll be sure to run them over with least amount of damage to your bike as possible. hopefully it was your brother or someone at work messing with you. good luck bro i'll keep an eye out for it.

Lol, thanks Jake. I've been told by several that it's unlikely to get it back at this point, but I'm still gonna keep eye-balling every bike. Most likely, the only place for it to be found will be a pawn shop so I'll get the serial no. I jogged home today.

I bet it was just some knucklehead kid that scooped it up when he was walking home from school. I'd go driving around the same time tomorrow and hunt for him. And when you find him, slit his throat.

9 years ago when I first moved here in GB, friends and I could leave our bikes out for hours. Our population has almost tripled it seems since, and more people=more problems. I'm ready to move.
