trying to get a caprice towed
Hey Everybody,
I just picked up a 96 caprice.Now i am just trying to fiqure out a way to get it here back to richmond. I dont have a trailer or truck and the car is located right around lundenburg county,Virginia about 90 mins away or like 80 miles. To get it towed by a tow truck company would kill me. I am willing to pay somebody 100 dollars if they have a truck and trailer and would be willing to go down there with me. If not does anybody know how much it is to rent a uhaul truck? I know the trailer is like 50 but i dont know about the pickup truck. Thanks Alot

Lunenberg county is damn boonies! My trailer is already loaned out and my truck will be parked this week as I'll be away.
Does the car not run? Was thinking you could get a ride out there and drive it back, but since you are asking about towing there might be some other issues with the car that were not described.

yeah the car runs it's just that the tranny slips. it wont go into 3rd gear or o/d so the car only goes like 35 mph if i didnt have to drive on the highway i would probably try to make it ,thanks alot though

UHaul rents the trucks that can tow the car as well as the trailer itself. Check platinum credit card benefits as UHaul and rental car discounts are typically tossed in, and also look for coupons in the yellow pages (green section) that might help.

hey everybody, well i haven't went and got the car yet,uhaul didn't have any damn auto transporters in stock and probably wont have any for like a week, so if anybody wants to make a quick 100 dollars just pm me. Thanks
