after the fuel filter, before the fuel rail. you can either use a relay and run an ignition source to it to turn it on or off, or tap the engine harness for an ignition source.

try to find a schematic or just use a test lite to find the wire, you can wire it to any wire as long as it give you a signal on ignition and stays on during ignition and turns off when you turn off the car, you dont want a constant power signal. you can run it to the fuse panel if you have to but its just easier to tap one of the ignition wires cause its alot less wire, use a test lite and test one of the few thick wires in the engine harness going to the distributor, i cant remember off hand what color it was.

Just to clarify what was already mentioned... regardless of which switched ignition source you pick, do NOT power the pump directly with this, use this source to switch a relay that feeds the pump.

no, the stock pump is before the filter, but the most conveniant place to put an INLINE pump and to get the most pressure out of it is after the filter right before the rail, the exit hose coming off the filter feeds the inline pump. if you put it before the filter you would have to find some place underneath the car too mount it or run a bunch of extra fuel line which isnt really the greatest idea for a street car. it fits perfectly under the hood and gets fed filtered fuel right after the stock filter, plus you get the most pressure out of it that way cause if you put it before the filter, the filter might actually fall apart since theres on average 110 psi coming out of the inline pump for boost reasons. stock fuel pressure is 36. its just easy and simple to do it that way, and like i said you get the maximum amount of fuel pressure at the rail.
