Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to show you all my newest toy. It’s a 1996 Chevy Caprice 9C1.It’s a decommissioned Mecklenburg county Va police car. It has the LT1 Engine just like the impala ss . Also has a posi(blown lol) 3.08 rear end, external engine oil and transmission coolers. I picked it up last night, thanks to the help of AL-David(thanks again man!!!!) Here are a couple pics these where taken late last night when I picked it up I will talk some better ones later today. And before anybody says anything I know the body needs work, but for 200 dollars I’m not bitchin lol. If there any other caprice/impala ss people on the forum, pm me trying to find more people to meet up with

Are you sure that's an Lt1 and not a throttle-bodied 350? Never seen that big ass plastic hat on top of an LT1 before.... but, then, I've only seen lt1s in F-bodies.

that's the home plate silencer... it is truly an LT1.

 

i had a crown vic, last year, bought it from a cop but it was a civilian car... i looked at police auctions for a while, but wanted a clean car with lower miles and theres no such thing in a police auction really... but if you don't mind one like you got you can get them for a steal, as you obviously know

have fun driving around scaring people with your spotlight, i miss that

 

your going to jack it up, put 36 daytons on it and paint it some rubber sparkley fish bait color arent you

LOL nah i am going to basically just build it up as a high 13 second car. I will am going to get it paint it,drop it and probably do some staggered 20's. First i have to find a damn tranny though lol

 

Nah not really, i have always wanted a 94-96 caprice with a lt1 and i have always wanted a 1st gen awd dsm. I know teh cars are completely different in alot of ways but the eclipse is going to be the mid-high 12 sec. car that is really fun to drive and the caprice is going to be the crusier with air and evertyhing but still have enough power to have some fun with it
