Any problems welding with mig onto stainless?
Im running into a problem where i need to cut the flange off a stainless header and reweld a more universal style flange on it. The exhaust shop only has a mig welder. Is this gonna be ok?
Thanks in advance im am clueless about welding

Yeah, it will be fine as long as they use stainless wire and the proper shielding gas. If they're using flux core wire, or regular mild steel wire, I'd stay away.

i've migged plenty of mild to stainless stuff with mild wire. and it was on extreme use parts like turbo manifolds where heat and stress are high. no cracks, no problems.
