Yourself? Installing the suspension parts isn't very difficult, no more than a hour or two of work.

my friend at tirerack said its a 4hr job for him and he knows the bmw and has done tons of sets - so that being said - i'm not going to mess w/ removing my rear seats (have to do it on the 540) and doing springs and coilovers and take at least 4 hours of my day to do - i'd rather pay someone 200 bucks to do (yes 4 hrs of my time is worth 400 lol hehe)

It took me and a friend almost 6 hours to do the front and rear springs, front struts, and rear shocks on my Passat. That was with breaks and some picture taking. It is not difficult but can be frustrating. If I did it again, I would pay someone to do it. Cheapest I found for suspension installation was $350. If you have someone who can do it for $200, that is a steal!

BTW, I have H&R springs on my Passat and they are awesome! My only complaint is that the advertised drop was wrong.. it lowered my car about .5 inches more than what it was supposed to.

Wow ... that's a long time, glad I don't have a European car

If you have the money and don't have the time I don't see anything wrong with having someone else do it. Hell, if you were closer and could get me the pages from the FSM for your car and I'd do it.
