i just picked me up a beater 98 Corolla, 4 door with 72K miles. it is in desperate need of a paintjob. its already black, so im thinking im going to stay with that color but i'd like to do something nice to it. i plan on putting some gold rims on it and whatnot. I was thinking of the Impreza WRX black with the gold flake in it. it is a factory color, right? anyone know where i can find the color code for it?
To me its always looked somewhat brown... either way very hot color.
Subaru has some of the nicest looking paint choices, just too bad its sprayed on wafer-thin on wrxs

this is true, and they had a great idea to use a bright white primer as the base for a black car...so every little rock chip shows up.

no, from my understanding the flake is a part of the paint. It's not a two stage process where the flake it put on to the base coat of the black, if thats what you mean.
