subaru legacy questions

Default subaru legacy questions

So my friend just got an 05 legacy the base model not the gt and he planned on upgrading it to make it like the GT model but hes having alot of trouble finding parts for it does anyone know of anyone that makes stuff for just the base model legacy?

by parts do you mean performance or aesthetics?

on the performance side, it was my understanding the legacy has a "de-tuned" ST-i EJ25(this might be the GT so someone please correct me if i'm wrong). If thats the case and it does actually use an ST-i ECU that just has less agressive setting i'd suggest getting the UTEC. That will allow him to get alot more agressive setting on the motor, free up the exhaust with a turbo-back system and it will feel like a completely different car

where ben at? he would know alot more than i would.

The 2.5i is non-turbo, so he's got a hell of a lot of work to do.

ooooo...

well, if he wanted to boost it, i can't image it would be that hard. It would cost just as much as if someone were trying to upgrade from a factory turbo-charger set up. The only difference is he needs a manifold(you could even just buy an after-market manifold/up-pipe), which is something most Impreza owners do anyway.
