i just bought a 91 civic hatchback last week with a blown head, and now im trying to convert the head to a d16z6. Not sure on wiring harness and specs, can anybody help me out , or does anyone know anybody that could help me put it in for a good price? thanks

you will have to do the MPFI conversion then buy an ecu from fabrik8 and run the 1 wire to the soliniod. Thats the easiest way to do it.

 

youll either need to convert to obd1 cause theres no obd0 vtec ecu, or you would have to use a vtec controller. call our shop at 721-9009 and ask for rich, he'll be able to give you more detail about it since hes done it on his crix

 

Fabrik8 makes an obd0 vtec ecu, so you will not have to convert anything. Also sets vtec engagement, rev limit, and puts a launch control on it for you.

 

You seem to be forgetting about the OBD0 PR3 and PW0, either of which will need to be chipped to disable the knock sensor and remap for the correct engine. But yes, I also convert PM6s to have Z6 maps and a vtec output.

 

i have a pm6 and how much would you charge me for the ecu? would i be able to use my stock wiring harness with out the conversion? thanks, let me know asap
