I just wired up an autometer 5 inch tach and the reading is off and i dont know what do to..... for example if my stock tach(which is only a little off) reads 5,000 my autometer reads 1,500.. any ideas... my ground is good i wired everything right... do i have to adjust it somehow???.... by the way this is in a 90 crx....im stuck.... pls help....

Did you make sure to clip the wires in the back??? I just put in an autometer too and mine is only off by a couple hundred......you have to clip 2 of the 3 wore loops on the back to set it up for a 4 cyl.

 

you may of crossed a wire.

 

if you didnt clip the wires it will be way off.......

 

clipped the orange and brown wires for 4 cyl. still seems a little off tho....
