Alright I have a 1989 Civic LX . Part of my clutch pedal that links it to the assembly broke at a weld, where it had obviously broke before. Now ive taken off every nut and what not that i can see and some extras just to be sure, and this assembly will not budge, maybe a millimeters worth of play. anyone know of any tricks or anything I could be missing in removing this assembly? I appreciate any and all input, I really need this fixed asap, thank you.

 

I cant think of any that that holds it up there that isnt obvious. Post a thread on Honda-Tech.com and see if you get more help.

 

If the thing was welded together where it's not supposed to be, it's very plausable that the assembly is welded to the body...

 

that would really suck. Keep in mind the clutch and brake pedals are one assembly so if you only take the nuts off that are located on the clutch side it wont budge.
