Thumbs down [Sterling] Japanese Engine Import

Yea like i said never mess with these guys. I live 150 miles away and they blantantly lied to me over the phone just to get me to come to the place so they could try to give me the shaft. Asked numerous times if they had an ODB1 B18B they said yes weve got it in stock come down. After a 2 hour drive I get to Sterling to find that there trying to give me an 0DB2 B20. Asked about the B18B that they claimed "instock" just 4 hours earlier on the phone his reply was no but we have B20. I left and went straight to NOYAN and I got what I wanted there.
DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS OR IF YOU DO DONT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY TILL YOU SEE IT

Sorry to hear about your problem, but my question is, why would you drive 4 hours to pick up an engine??? shipping is not that expensive. my next question is why would you want a obd1 b18b....get the obd2, less miles and will still interchange.

Japan Star moved to NY..Albany maybe? (rumor, we think they affiliated with a Canadian importer)

Noyan (arash) is good people...just make sure you ask for good stuff.

Working for an import company (japan direct), you get to know the crooks and the people that will help you out in this industry. its common for us (importers) to sell from other importers stock...and we get #'s of calls a day about people "coming down" to pick stuff up and never see them. so they arent completely to blame.

Next time just get it shipped, then if its the wrong thing...refuse the shipment and decline charges on your credit card.

you're insane.

I've never seen a good motor come from those fucks.

Haveing personally purchased over 25 motors/front clips from Noyan, and only having on bad clip (which he promptly replaced with a whole nother clip). I can speak from experience when i say that Noyan will treat you right.

Yea refusing the shipping charges and delining the credit card would be a good idea if it was wrong the Japanese Engine Import did offer me a good price on a long block 500 bucks. So that was my reasoning on driving down there but once i got there i was just so pissed it was a B20B I stormed outa there and got what i wanted. Thanks for the replies tho. Also I wanted an ODB1 because my harness was brittle and plugs were busted on it so i figured kill 2 birds with 1 stone. My teg original engine had over 250,000k not to mention the 75,000k of red-lining I put on it LOL
