Engine swaping...
Ok i have a 00 hx wich has about 88k miles on it. I also have a d16y8 with about 40k on wich i want to put in it. Does anyone have any recomendations on who can do this for me and about how much would it cost? Any info would be greatly apriciated.
88k miles is pretty low, why do you want to swap it out? If I were you, I'd get a better motor before doing a swap. I just don't see the point in swapping in another D-series motor.

You have the D16y5 motor then correct? Honestly, you won't see much more power from the Y8 if at all, any. It's a pretty much direct replacement. No extra wiring needed, but if you would like me and my friend josh to do it, we can prolly have it done in a day or two. Pm me...located in norfolk.
with motorswapping, generally how long does it take? say if you were to take it to a shop that does it?
and another thing if u engine swap will ur a/c and p/s still work? like dont u need to change exhausts and headers and intake and all that shaz?

Not with most d-series motors. It bolts right up, you can use the header that comes with the y8, and should bolt up directly to the cat...unless the flange is angled differently. The only thing you will need that is really different is the y8 ecu, and of course all of the y8 wiring and such...someone add on, I know I forgot easy shit, I'm in a hurry.
