Default quick LS motor question

I can get an 89 teg las motor trans etc.. for 500 bucks. I want to put my '96 teg LS head on it and build the boom end. My questions are: Can i put my '96 head on the '89 block and can i use 92 teg ls rods and pistons in the '89 block?

No, the head will not bolt on and I don't believe the rods will work either. You are talking about swapping B series engine parts to a D series engine and in this case It will not work.
