Question VA Emissions question?

Will a JDM(not sure if USDM/JDM really matters), with high flo cat pass emissions?(I'm in NoVA)

It doesn't pass Maryland emissions, so I was wondering.

yeah, i'm from the beach too, they never do emissions testing down there. but i've relocated to NoVA, and just about every county up here in this region requires emissions testing.

Fairfax County in NoVA requires emissions. I'm having mine taken care of today. Post in NoVA forum to find the answer to your question. I think you'll be fine, but I've read mixed opinions.

Well, the mechanic said the JDM compressions are diff, and also these engines dont have some components that the USDM motors are equipped with. High flo cat was the least of my concerns, he said(I think USDM engines can pass VA emissions with a high flo cat).

I don't know how you didn't pass. As long as it's visually good, you're in there. I've passed some gutted cats and no air-pump without even a second thought. Shouldn't even have told him it was JDM or anything. They might just be trying to get a buck out of you.
