Hey guys today on Belvidere I was driving along and as I was almost at the intersection the light turned yellow and there was no way i could have stopped in time and when half to three quarters of my car was passed the solid white line the light turned red. On the way back home I saw cameras on top of the traffic light. Now the lights at this intersection was recently changed 2 days ago to new ones with a camera pointing in each direction but is it still possible that i could get a ticket for running the light? The only reason I am asking is because I think I heard something a month back about a bill that wanted to bring back the cameras on the traffic light but it didnt pass so i wanted to see if this was true or not
Those "cameras" are actually sensors for emergency vehicles, no?
Yes and no. Actually those "cameras" are the replacements for the metal strips in the road to sense when traffic is waiting for a light to change. When you see a cylinder on the side the size of a 20oz bottle with two tubes sticking out, those are for emergency vehicles.
But yea..fuck red lights. I never stop for those things, takes too long.
