kramer tire is the other place ive heard back from that actually interests me...its basically what i do up north so it wouldnt be much of a transition...i think...

I dont know about working there but I had a bad experience with the one near my house

The manager was trying to charge me 60 dollars more per tire than firestone and the cost to balance and mount was twice as much as firestone. I even presented him with all the documentation to back it up and he wouldnt come come down on the price at all. He even gave me a dirty look and basically told me he cant compete with firestone. I told him I am sorry but I am not one of the normal customers that come in hear that you can rip off, I did my homework and I am shopping for the best deal, if you can match you have my business. He then told me he couldnt help me.

I ended up buying the same tires on Tirerack.com and getting them mounted and balanced at firestone. Total I saved even with shipping was approx 275 dollars for 4 tires and balancing over what Kramer wanted to charge.

 

Some shops are level.. others are.. well... hit and miss in my opinion. Which store are you looking at?

 

I used to work at the one on Holland and it was a chill ass job.

 

I work at kramer right now, depending on what store you work at but most stores are pretty chill, i work at the one in downtown norfolk, bad thing they dont pay shit you can get more money from firestone if you have experienice

 

If you have experience.. goto Sears. Honestly, they were going to start me out at like 9 an hour part time. I only make 7.50 full time working for TreadQuarters/WalMart.

 

i worked at the one on battlefield stayed pretty busy there. it was an okay job but didn't pay enough for the work.
