Just recently bought a 98 eclipse all stock...couple of weeks ago it started to smoke and burning oil...dont know exactly what it is and what i should do...any suggestions
Well this is what you do, open the oil cap, if smoke is being pumped out, then its blow by. Your piston rings are probably shot. You doing any racing/ high revs on the motor?
Alot of people are saying that it is the rings and that i just need to get a new motor...but cant i just get a knew block and get that put on and everything will be ok..or it also could be valve stem sills??? i dont know i dont race it at all i hardly even drive it

Rings, most likely. Valve Stem seals usually cause it to smoke a lot on startup but the smoke will subside. Replacing the 'block' is much easier said than done. The 'block' is the entire engine pretty much. To replace the block, you have to do everything you would to replace the entire engine as itself then more. Let me know if you're looking to get it fixed.
