fist question;

my friends 92 or 93 240sx fb se, everytime he starts up his car, there is a squeak, very noticeable when start-ups, in the engine bay, it goes on for a couple seconds but then after it stops, i think it might be his belts but not quite sure.

anybody can figure out whats wrong?

second question;

anybody here have a megan exhaust? likes and dislikes about it? hows the sound? i plan on getting it but not sure if i should.

sounds like a belt squeak to me. Try some belt dressing

 

belt dressing? elaborate please. do they come in a bottle? hahha jp.

 

yeah, i put it on sandwiches sometimes.....lol. it'll probably stop that noise though

 

also check the tensioners...make sure they are tight cause the same thing happened to my prelude

also, depending on how long/miles its been since he got the timing belt replaced. it might be worth it to change it out.
