i have this and it didn't come with a gauge... but wasn't sure if i can just use any gauge...is it possible to hook up an autometer gauge to it and work?? or do i have to have aem gauge to have it work?? i would think the controller just sends out a 0-5v signal for a gauge or ems!! Can anybody confirm this??

 

I believe the autometer runs off a narrowband. I may be mistaken though. Check out their website for a spec/tech sheet.

I believe the unit you have is an add on for the ems, also, its made to incorporate into an EMS; not sure if its supposed to be able to go to a stand alone gauge

 

you need the aem gauge or you can directlywire it into your cars o2 harness for a more accurate reading

 

well, judging by his avatar pic, i would say he has a honda. unless he is running hondata s300 he needs to convert the voltage to a 0-4.5v signal as thats what the factory ECU reads and the UEGO is 0-5v.

 

that was my old si but its actually for my 240sx and i don't plan on using it with a ems.. i was just going to use it to look at my a/f with a gauge, but didn't know if i can hook up any gauge to it.. i did read some where that i have to use a aem gauge...which is 200 bucks by the way!!!! i guess i'll have to sell it!!

 

it depends on what tiype of engine management you have. i wouldnt sell it it is very useful.

 

i don't have ems...i do plan on using safc but i'm not planning to use ems!!

 

try and stay away from the safc
