There were cavaliers, neons, and hondas EVERYWHERE!!!

I was going to take pics... but i was too excited, peed myself and had to come home.

I've been amazed of the number of people I've seen over the weekend at various places who you can just tell are completely proud of their cars, and it almost makes me feel guilty for laughing at them.... in a sense, we all share the same interest, I just feel like some of them are going about it the wrong way. I'm not referring to anything in particular, but I just have to wonder what people are really thinking inside their heads when the do their vinyl graphics, chrome windshield wipers, aluminum wings, SPINNER HUBCAPS, clear tails, etc.. Are you REALLY thinking you're impressing anyone?

 

I went to school with a dude who had a 1st Gen Eclipse that had this hideous orange paint job with the stock wing and a additional Boeing jet style wing on the trunk.

I asked him in all honesty one day what he was thinking. I told him that wing was a joke and that it more than all likely made his car slower than it already was.

He got all mad and said, "Fuck you Honda boy." I was like whoa dude dont get your panties in a bunch. He insisted that it increased the downforce which made his car all uber fast. I tried to get into a civilized conversation with him on how a proper wing is used. Using wind tunnel testing on cars that actually require downforce, for example F1 cars and cars in the Speed World Challenge, etc.

He just conintued to gripe on how it was uber cool and fast and he would walk my car all day.

I just gave up on it.

Moral of the story is, some people are just to damn ignorant to be helped.

 

This is where the term "hater" comes from because they know what the fuck is up but can't come up with shit else to say.

keep it clean.

even if your car isnt that cool. if you keep it clean (paint) decent looking wheels etc it will mostly likely look very good. people just get outta hand with APC crap

That's what I'm saying..

Adding a bunch of add-ons to a piece of crap is just going to make it a piece of crap with attachments.. lol.

Not everyone has to drive an SL55, nor do I expect that. I don't have one either... and maybe not everyone likes my car, but I follow the keeping it clean category and I don't put all sorts of gaudy extras on my car trying to attract attention.

 

I'm poor and I know it... so I (someone with an ounce of sense) leaves the car shows to cars worth showing.
