has anyone ever had this problem? 2001 toyota sienna with 541e transmission, came in with 2 problems, one is harsh downshift & the 2nd is harsh engagements, we did complete overhaul, found nothing wrong, replaced valve body also. the harsh downshift is corrected but we still have harsh engagement. transmission shifts perfect. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

did you replace or check the shift solenoids? Also did you clear the ECM after installed?

that is the only thing I see in TIS. If you don't find out by tomorrow morning I will find out from one of our master techs.

 

I still have not found out anything, so any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
