Bank Loans
Right now I have financed a 2001 S10 which I plan on selling real soon. I am wanting to buy a 97 Mitsu Galant off my friend in NY for $2400 as my dailey beater. I went to my bank today(Bank of America) and asked about getting a car loan for $2800. The lady there said I couldnt get a car loan unless it was over $10,000. Wtf? Ive gotten a car loan at my previous bank for $3500 no questions asked. Then I asked if I could get a personal loan for $2800 and she said no you only can get a car loan for $10,000 or more. Now thats pretty messed up, they are only doing that to get the most money out of their customers. Next she tried talking me into getting a credit card so I could get a cash advance on the money I need and probably pay 27% on interest ha no! I really dislike Bank of America due to this and a few other things that happened in the past.
So where else could I get a loan? My work does not have a credit union. What other banks have friendly employees that actually care about them? I know banks are only there to make money, but my last bank was cool, they helped me out a lot. Just looking for some tips. Thanks.

ya dude bank of america really sucks alot, ive got an account with them now and i hate it, if your in the military i would say go to navy fed, i have some loans out from them and they will not ask any questions, but that may be because of the consistent paycheck though.....
I use 1st advantage. and they are nice to me. But I've been with them since I was 15. Pretty much everybody there knows who I am by frist name. The only thing I see stopping you from getting an auto loan from them is that both you and your friend would have to be there. But depending on your credit you can just do an signture loan and pay bout the same. Good luck in finding a bank that works for you.
