Default anyone have this set up?

does anyone on here have a b17 or b16 head on a b18 bottom end(poormans type R)? does anyone know someone who has ran this set up before? i need some input on this setup. i hear its kinda of useless and there wont be any power added which i wasnt expecting. i also heard once i put the head on the bottom end it will lower the compression some. this is stuff that ive read or someone told me but would like some more input. thanks
wayne

Go with a GSR block, civic type r pistons, ummm, B16 head and skunk 2 stage 2 cams. You should be at about 200 or more with tuning.

All motor setup on a B18 block/head = 5-7k

Turbo setup on a B18/block head = 2-3k

The realization you wasted a shit load of money getting the motor to barely put out 200whp..when with a turbo you can put down 250-300+ for 3k = Priceless

what many dont know is that the P72(B18C) head is a better head then the PR3(b16,B17) It was the latest redesigned b-series head from Honda. The GSR heads biggest down fall is the IAB manifold. I improvments over the PR3 are much high sitting intake ports for more direct flow, P72 has "quinch" areas, change in cooling passage, & for the allmotor junkies the GSR head provides .3 more cr over any other head. The stock cams are the best for the boost people.
