I was lookin at ebaymotors just to see what civics they had up there, and I ran across this. A civic sedan with 3 stage vtec. i've never heard of anything like that before, i dont believe it. I think its just a sales pitch. its in the first couple of sentences of the description. Can someone tell me if its possible or b/s like I think

haha, only time ive heard of any stages in vtec is in a gsr due to secondary set of butterfly(not sure if its valves or not) in the intake manifold which open at like 6200 rpms or something close to that....correct me if im wrong

 

It's legit, someone on here had explained it to someone else before.

 

JDM D15B with vtec-E and standard vtec. Not a common swap, or a very worthwhile one, but it's different. It's like 129HP or something like that stock, and I'm going to have to call BS on his 172 HP dyno claim. He's using a P28 ECU (which only controls a single stage vtec setup), and all his mods are light, stage one OBX cam, cam gear, Mugen (doesn't exist for that ECU) chip, shaved head, throttle spacer. Everything else doesn't really make power and isn't needed, like the B18 throttle body, etc. He's not pulling well over 50 WHP out of his ass with those minor mods, it's bullshit. I'm guessing somewhere around maybe 140 at the wheels. 145 tops. Probably way less though because there is no way that ECU is anywhere near tuned for that engine. But hey, if he wants to make wild guesses to sell the car, whatever..

By the way, I never knew stainless brake lines give better stopping power.. The BS is all over the place.
