Taking springs off

Is there any way to take springs off a shock without a spring compressor?

i wouldnt do it.. just go to autozone and rent one. you can step on it and shoot that shit off. if you take a finger off its not my fault.

haha i did this one time. Had to sit a box or something in front of it to keep parts from flying down the entire length of the driveway

Get a tool, dont be a dumbass and loss a finger or anything worse for some dam springs.

dont get a tool and shoot it off in your driveway and video tape it so I can lmfao.

You can ruin shocks that way. I advise using hand tools to remove springs. And yes, use a spring compressor.

we did it at my house without any tools.

we just jacked up the strut while still on the car, pulled the top nut off, and slowly lowered the jack. got my stock springs off nice and safely.

Get some huge intake hose clamps the ones with the flat head part to tighten the clamp up and tighten 4 of them on a spring at a time and untighten the top bolt. the shoot will be very weak. it work ive seen it done ask WYT RICE
