Alright, little frustrated with this damn radio in my 2000 Prelude. I disconnected it and now it says code. ive done some research but does ANYBODY know how to get a free code or even get a code from the internet or even bypass the code? Help please!!
Take the Vin number to the dealer and they will give it to you.
When I took the Vin number to the dealer before they charged me like $50 for it. My radio still asks me for the code because I refused to pay. This was a KIA dealer though.
you need to get the serial number off the back of the radio and take that to the dealership.
This is the only way to get the radio code for a Honda/Acura. Unless the dealership you bought the vehicle from saved the code in the original deal information you will need to remove the radio to access the serial number as stated above. The dealership "should" ask for proof of ownership as well.
i know for a fact this is true for civics, should be the same for preludes, open up the glovebox and look on either side of it for a white sticker. The five digit code that's written there is your code, good luck.
