Default turbo rebuild shops

I just pulled a Garrett T03 TI off a 1987 Chrysler at the junkyard. I'm trying to find a shop to rebuild it for a reasonable price. I did a search and found some posts about Timsturbos.com. They seemed like a decent place. Are there any other shops, preferably around the 757 that could rebuild this unit?

I'll talk to my friend and see if he'll do other people's turbos. He did mine for 50 bucks.

I'll get back to ya'll.

Its worth learning how to do it yourself, you can get a rebuild kit very cheaply.

None that I know of locally. Problem with rebuilding your own turbo is balancing. Technically, whenever new seals and/or wheels are installed, it must be rebalanced. We sent a couple here:

turbo specialties... i think it's out in chesapeake... they charge an arm and a leg tho....

go with buying a kit and doing it yourself... it's fairly straightforward...

on alotta turbos you have to balance them. on the one you pulled you dont. get a rebuild kit and have at it. just be gentle with it. when your removing the turbine (exhaust) housing it will be really easy to damage the turbo. (it can be a BITCH to get off) you just hafta be gentle and take your time with it. also keep in mind that the flange on the turbo you pulled is not standard t3, the bolt holes are offset. make sure the manifold you buy / have has room for new holes.
