advice!!!
I finally found an engine from Noyan usa up in Manasas. http://noyanusa.com/ Does anyone know anything about these guys? Also they said it would cost 950 extra just to put it in for me. Its the same motor thats in there now... a d15b into a 4th gen civic that already had a d15b1 in it. That seems like way to much. What do you guys think?
thats not to bad i guess is that just labor? i'd do the water pump timing belt plugs clutch etc..
either way noyan is a great company to deal with they stand behind there motors 100%

As for quality of their products...
I've gotten 2 sr20de's from Noyan...both are still running. One I run the living shit out of in my raSEcaR. Will yours be the same, who knows.
When this one blows, I'll buy a motor from Noyan.

I believe "EEK" on here is affiliated with them from some posts I've seen him make. Maybe get in touch with him for a little more info, someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
considering your 4th gen is a dx, which is a 2 injector car, it would have to be converted to multipoint injection, and also the jdm d15b should be the vtec model, it would take a bit of extra money to get it in there and running exactly the way it should. about the $900, if that is just labor, its about right for a company to do, but if that includes the obd0-obd1 conversion, multipoint wiring and new ecu you will need, it isnt too bad of a price. if you just want to replace the dx engine in ur car, i wouldnt try finding a jdm engine, just find a 88-91 engine and put it in ur car and leave it w/ the 2 injector setup, would only cost about $500 total w/ engine and install. i may be able to help you out some, if interested PM me.
Thanks guys, I just wanted some opinions from people who are more experienced then me. I'm just starting out and really don't want to be ripped off. But from what I here they are good people.
