Interga Hatch question

well it slides side to side, and is on the hatch. I tried the opening the hatch with it, but no go. I dont see how it would unlock the hatch since the lock mechenism is on the back panel, on the body not the hatch. ? see ill. part # 37

Part #37 is a bolt. Is the car unlocked when you try to open it? Trust me, the thing that slides back and forth is the opening mechanism. All 3 of us who have posted have/had an Integra.

try unlocking it with the kay while messing with the lever.
mines retarted and only works as im unlocking the hatch with a key.
i miss the 94-97? style where i just had my trunk pop inside the car

key is the only way to unlock the hatch. oh well i'll live with it.
