Cobalt SS Supercharged or TC? (poll)
Okay guys. I know you're not probably fond of either car. However, it's what I would like to pay monthly and I like both. Right now I own a 2006 Scion TC. I baught an automatic (first mistake). GM has 0% right now so with my GMS discount and positive equity I could EASILY slide into a Supercharged Cobalt SS with Recaros and LSD for the same payment. I would then be on my own on the loan (the TC is a co sign). However, my insurance would go up by 50 dollars. Not a big deal. I think I would enjoy having a stick more so and car with some pick up to it, but I can't really decide. Your thoughts? And neither is NOT an option. Thanks guys

I'm pretty sure the Cobalt is going to have way more features and amenities then a tC too.
I say go for it.
I almost bought an Aveo for a really cheap DD. It would be nice to have a DD with four seats, air conditioning, power steering and a 5 year warrenty! Plus a payment of $150 a month is nearly unbeatable.

Thanks so far, they are trying to talk me out of it at work, because of the 50 more dollar a month. I don't see the big deal, but they know how fast I go through cars.
My main concern is the depreciation and the fact that I only owe 9.5k on my scion. But at the same time, I want a car that I enjoy if I'll be keeping it for a year or 2

I say stick with the tC. You've got a nice reliable car that you don't owe much on. You've had some pretty enjoyable cars and you went through them quick. I think the tC is something you are more likely to keep.
Edit: You only bought the tC like 5 months ago right? You've got pretty good positive equity, so I'd keep that.

Lets see...If you can comfortably afford the SS, meaning you don't mind the extra ownership costs...then get it.
Its a great car imo, looks good ( a little boyish ), and lots of power. Just don't get yellow.
