AWD burnout pics (kinda cool IMO)
Friend of mine that has been doing quite a bit of work over the last few years. He started out with a daily driven bone stock Syclone with 100+k miles on it running high 13s and has so far gone 9.50 @ 145mph. Super nice guy that back in 02 didnt know a turbo from a throttle body but has educated himself and worked stupid hard to get where he's at now in 06.
Scary part is that supposedly the truck has 8 second potential once he really starts leaning on it
.

Few more pics of the build and what not here if anyone is curious:

Not earth shatteringly exciting but its been a little slow around here anyways

I dont think he's dyno'ed it lately so I dunno right off...Id guess around 700 but I could be way off. The 4.3 V6s are low rpm grunt/tractor motors so they dont scare ppl with hp numbers.....torque on the other hand (which most ppl ignore
) is another story
. With the addition of the NHRA legal cage Id say the truck is a little heavy (~3700lbs with driver?) so plugging the weight/et/mph into one of the on line perf calcs would prolly get you in the ball park on what kind of power he's making I would think.
Keep in mind those arent street tires he's boiling in the pics either. Those are M/T slicks on all four corners

I went to the above site and plugged in a 3700lb weight and got an average of 875hp at the wheels. I think thats a little high but Im not sure about the weight either..my truck has been lightened by removing un-needed crap (spare tire/jack/etc) and is only down to ~3400+lbs (dont forget to add the 285lb fat a$$ driver either
).
