the motor will fit right in...

you will have to get vtechs wired into the harness
you need the ECU that goes with the Y8 motor, or hondata or something
you need to convert the hatch from dpfi, to mpfi ( if im thinking correct.) maybe not

and thats it..you might need a d16y8 header..

did i get everything?

OH and a obd2a y8 distributor... from 96-98 civic ex's

Eh, I'd say take the cheaper route. I believe the DX 96 hatch is already MPFI.

Other than that it's pretty much straight forward. And oh, maybe a different o2 sensor becuase I Think the o2 wiring is differnet on an OBd2 motor/vehicle.

EDIT: WHOOPS I thought he had an obd-2 vehicle. Get a Y8 ecu and i believe you can use the y8 distrib in your vehicle. But its pretty much just a replacement motor, not really a swap.

the p28 isnt the ECU for a y8...i believe its a p2p or p2E?

and he does have a obd2 vehicle...he has a 96 hatch, which is obd2a...
