Default Ninja 500r

One of the bikes I am looking at purchasing is a ninja 500r, yes I know its the commuting version and not as bad ass as the zx6 et cetera. I am curious to know though if people consider it to be a reliable bike, and are there any common mechianical failures associated with the bike.

they're bulletproof. that motor has been around a long time, and they don't really have any problems. just keep up on your maintenance, and you'll be fine. they're actually decent bikes. they don't do anything spactacularly, but they do everything well enough.
