Many shops will do polishing locally but I do not know of a local shop that does rim repair. How bad is the rim?

Most of the machine shops around will do it. I have never had it done before but I do know of someone who has had them polished. You might also try the metal finishing shops such as powdercoaters, annodizers, ect... There is a place on 460 just outside of salem called impact paint and coatings that does the works liquid chroming, powdercoating, annodizing ect.. . I just saw it for the first time last week but it may be worth checking into.

just found the web address for this place www.ipcfx.com

Dunno if this helps but I recently saw an enclosed trailer at Burgland with "wheel repair/straightening" plastered all over the sides. Also, the last time I called their parts dept and was put on hold part of the recorded message I had to endure was an advertisement for fixing/straightening aluminum wheels. Im guessing that the trailer I saw was a sub contractor who has the equipment to fix wheels mounted in it and does repair for dealers in the area as well as individuals.

Sad thing is I dont remember the number that was on the side of the trailer or the name of the company (ADD is a bitch) but I bet if you called burgland and did some checking they could tell you how to get in touch with the guy doing the repairs.

Its funny that I would come across this thread on the first time I've visited this board in like 2 years. I guess I should just go ahead and introduce myself. My names Mark Agee, Im the wheel tech at Berglund Body Works. When you call youre gonna talk to a guy named Kenny Prillaman but he is just my supervisor, I am the one who does all the work. We usually charge between 75 and 100 bucks per wheel depeding on how much damage there is. If it is alot of damage or we have to straighten it as well it can get a little more pricey. We are pretty slammed right now because only me and Kenny are working on wheels. We just got a set off of a CL65 AMG and I know those are gonna be kicking my ass for awhile. The afforementioned trailer was our mobile unit but we got too busy to spread ourselves out like that.

Heres my number at work if you want to call me anytime between 8AM and 5PM monday through friday. (540)875-7215

I think that's where good ol' Matt Hutchins is working on the side or something.. I was talking to him about getting some powdercoating or possibly liquid chroming done.
