yea i was on old golchester road comming home from the fairfax area to the woodbridge area. and i was on my way home from seeing my gf. i had to leav early so i left at around 6. at that time traffic gets kinda heavy going south on 95 so i take route 1. well down this back road i usually go like 40-45 cause i mean its not too fast but its faster then sitting in traffic. so im just crusing and all of a sudden after a hill i see a cop car on the side. im like oh shit they got me. so when i saw them i look down and i see that im going 45. so then they fallow me and i turn into hassets lane (the next right). well when she pulled me over she was liek "wats the rush" i say im on my way home and im late. she says "do you konw how fast you were going" and i say "around 45" and she does the whole licence and registration thing. and when she comes back she says i was going 60 in a 25. i was like WTF. i asked her if she could show me the radar gun proofing i was going 60 but she wouldnt show it. she gave some excuss saying it only shows current speed detection. but when i saw you it said 60. so now i gotta go to court in fairfax. but idk wat to say. i mean i rather get a ticket for going 20 over the limit rather then getting one going 35 over the limit. but the thing is she wouldn't show me exacatly how fast i was going. wat am i suppose to say in court. i mean do i plead not guilty and tell them i was going 45. either way its a reckless but maby its a lil better if there giving me a reckless ticket for going the speed i was going for. or do i plead no contest an just be like yea i was speeding. i just dont want to go to jail. im just asking you guys is wat would help me not go to jail. thanks

 

This all would have been avoided had you just been obeying the law in the first place.

She took advantage of you because you didn't know what you were doing. It happens. Go to court, face the concequences. You won't go to jail.

Give them a call. If you go without a lawyer you will be screwed. 30+ carries fine/jail/loss of license.

The officer doesn't have to show you the radar gun, just learned that in driver improvement class.

stop being a tool and follow the speed limit...if its the same hill that im thinking about, if you would happened to look left, you would have seen a white cross there for a person that has died there before..that road is dangerous and many people have died there before

 

1. Dawg you were in Fairfax you should know better

2. I'm not gonna fry on you for speeding. I speed all the time, my theory is life is too short to drive the speedlimit. But you gotta know when in where to speed. You can speed up the hill, but not down. Before the turn....not after. You gotta know what you doin. Im 19 and so far I've gotten no ticketts.
