Ok,here it is. Im not going to specify a date,or time in the thread,because it is subject to change. But we just played today,and it was a hell of a game. We had atleast 10-12 people come out,and ran a 4-4 game. It looks like it will be a good turn out if we get word of mouth,and enough enthusiastic people to come out and just have fun.

Location - So far,we have played at Chesapeake park,and St. Matthews Church and School beside The AMF bowling alley on Indian river road. its not the best park,but its ALWAYS empty for the most part,and the hoops arent that bad. As far as running full court games,im not worried about that right now. People are trying to get back into shape,and get their stamina back up,and we were all dead tired just from playing half court games.That location is not yet solidified,but its got enough parking,and its out of the way of a lot of traffic,distractions,and trouble.If you have any ideas of any other courts,Contact Boostlag,Projektcivic,Spike101,or Blackout.

Date & Time - We can not specify a Date and time yet,because of the complications of people's work schedules and other things. We played today (tuesday),and a lot of people were able to come out. I dont want to do it like this,but if somehow we can get a roll call system for certain days,that would be helpful. Try to post in the thread,what day you can be off to play,and what time you can play. If we can get enough people that day,to post their availability,at a decent time,we can set up a game and get some people out there. The best time to play ive seen,is around 6-7 pm..because the sun is starting to fall...and you have about 2 hours to play,which is what we played for today. That way everyone gets a run in.


Rules and regulations - there will be NO Trash talking. we are here to have fun,not make grudges,and hold them. There will be no burning out,or doing anything stupid with your car. There will be no littering,throw your gatorade and water bottles away or put them in your car when you are done with them. Any other rules,that i can think of that are important,i will post later.


I would love to get some more people to come out,so we can run lots of games,and switch up teams often. Today was very competitive,and everyone has something to offer on the court. i can vouch for everyone when i say they all had fun.


If there is anyway we can get a sticky for this,it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.




PS - I would also like to get someone to take pictures of the games,and stuff,sorta like if it was a car meet,i think it would be cool,but thats just my 2c.

yea,that was fun as shit...hopefully i heal up for sunday. I will def. be out there sunday. I got kind of mad the last game,but i think i will do better once i get used to playing with everyone,and they know how i play. You are really good man,i didnt underestimate you though lol.

But yea,lets try not to build the thread up with Court talk,i want to get people Posting when they can come out,and play,and set up some games.

i'm going to try to make it out to bayville parks tonight around 830-9 pm. it's right between pleasure house and shore dr, on first court rd right before it reaches shore drive. right down the street from bayside rec center in virginia beach. easiest way to get there would be to either take independence towards shore drive, make a right on pleasure house and another right onto first court and follow it til you see the courts on your left, if you hit shore you've gone too far... or take 64 to northampton, get off at independence and make a left onto pleasure house, same as above from there. from shore drive just turn onto first court (i think you can only turn onto first court one way...), the courts are right there.

hopefully see some of you there...

edit- yes the courts have lights, from what i hear they stay on til 11. doubt i'll be out that late...

 

i might just suck up the soreness from yesterday's game and come out there man... you bringing a ball?

 

me and caleb are both sore as shit..but we are thinkin about suckin it up,and meeting you out there..im just waiting on his word.

uh... no. im actually about to call a friend of mine up that told me about playing there and see if he's heading out there tonight.

but yeah, a ball would be helpful, especially not knowing anybody. this will be my first time at these courts in 3 years.
