it is the same as a USDM GSR which is 8000. I would not recommend taking it higher than that without upgrading the valve springs and retainers. You have the chance of floating a valve if so

well since its a type r motor i would think it would be the same as a usdm type r which is 8400 if your theory is correct but i think i remember reading somewhere the jdm r was 8900
