Default brake question

so i just changed my rotors/pads on my integra and took it for a spin around the block...it sounds like the pads are rubbing agianst the rotors. is this normal, as the brakes break in?

Can you post it up so others who might have this problem have a reference.

Without that tech is useless.

You might've bent a dust shield and its barely touching the rotor. It could also be the new pads rubbing the rusty area of the rotor that hasn't been touched in a while. Brakes are one of those things where sometimes there are so many things to look at that it's jsut easier to fix by being able to look at it though.

well it's new rotors and new pads. i'm gonna look at those little metal pieces on the calipers to see if the pads aren't in all the way due to those.

i'll check tomarrow i'm too worn out today.

those metal pieces hold the pads in place so they dont rattle in the caliper. if you're hearing a rattling and you didnt put them in then thats probably the reason. also make sure not to crush them because you might press them against the rotor and that'll squeal like hell too.
