Default No start

2002
Chevy Trailblazer

Car has power but won't start when key is turned to start position.

-The car ran fine friday night, drove it around. Turned on and off without any problems. Yesterday car wasn't driven at all. Today we try to start it and it had nothing

-When you turn the key on, all the lights/radio/gauges/etc come on. Battery gauge is showing 12volts.

When turned the the start position nothing happens. I'm thinking since I can't hear a relay click that its the starter relay but I haven't been able to test it or find a working one to switch.

Other than the relay, what should I check that might be causing this? Or, could the relay not even be a problem?

Thanks,
Jake

Default Re: No start

i had a trailblazer with this same problem, ended up being a loose contact on the starter itself.

relay or starter or just a bad connection. Or maybe by some miracle the ignition wiring went bad, but that's more typical of a jeep/chrysler.

I've checked all the connections and they are perfectly good. I'm really leaning towards the relay but I have no way to test it, nor does any auto parts store have one.

Wheres it located? I looked in the main underhood fuse box but couldn't find one like it. Is there another fuse box I'm missing?

Try giving serious advice. Don't you think if I'm up here I've tried the simple shit.

jump the battery connection and the relay point on the starter with a screwdriver, if it starts it's wiring or a relay, if not your starter is bad.
