any one know why there was so many cops this morning on broad st?
"3:30am" I was coming back from Bells and decided to drive up broad. from
8th and broad up to broad and belv. there was rpd at every street blcoking traffic. So i cut over to jackson ward. same damn thing. So i ge teh bright idea of running back arcoss braod over to main st. needless to say there was more of rpd there. Just in passing i must have seena good 20 to 30 rpd cars. Seems there was also alot ofcars doing the same thing as myself. Running the streets like a mouse in a maze. looking for a way out of that mess. Any Ideas of what was going on?

before i forget they werent doing check points or searching the areas from what i saw. Just sitting at every intersection, next to thier cruisers.

 

first weekend back for students in the belvidere area so they were probably out looking for drunkards walking the street.

 

I think it was because of the TI concert, they were blaring sirens up until 3:30.

 

i knew there had to be a rap concert going on somewhere in the city, it wasn't as nuts as usual all along broad but all the side streets were flooded

 

I went out onto the Rhoads / Brandt patio because I thought someone would have had to have been shot or something with all the fucking noise.

 

weird... I live a 100 feet from the business building and I didnt hear shit. Although it was a complete sea of people when I bought beer around 9pm.

 

There were helicopters and shit. I "heard" that the pizza hut got robbed. But then I also heard some drunk people got out of hand and pepper spray was used. But there was a helicopter with a spotlight shining all around the pizza hut and surrounding areas, not sure which story is true.

 

just wait for Kings Dominion and BET night... you will see the same crap

 

I walked past the pizza hut and there were about 5 cop cars there, 2 of them being state police. They looked very serious and started blocking off the street and keeping people who were trying to leave from the parking lot.

 

that pizza hut has been robbed several times in the 4 years I've been here.
